My Unintentional Connections to Murderers and Serial Killers - Part 1
First off, I want to get this out of the way. I get it. Serial killers and the like most likely have nothing do with the paranormal in spite of what the Warren's or Ron DeFeo say. If you are reading this, you get the reference. I am including the next few personal stories because they are definitely dark in nature and can easily be the true crime square peg that fits the paranormal round hole.
About a year and a half ago, I wrote about HERE what I personally think may be behind the odd things that happen in my house. I happen to think it may be the former owner's brother and sister-in-law that were murdered back in December 1968. The horrific crimes did not occur at my home, but I think something may be poking its head in, not seeing Ralph or Alice, and being a little confused why a family other than them is living here. That story that I followed up with in the local paper was crazy too. The guy being in a police chase, ditching the stolen car, evading the cops, witnesses not showing up to court for another charge on the Kansas side, a prison break and subsequent capture, not being charged for the double homicide which happened on the Missouri side.
Looking back I have some interesting and strange ties to other murderers and serial killers. I am sure we all some tenuous connection to bad people, but these are pretty much one degree away from said bad person.
One was a guy and his friend who abducted, raped, and murdered a 15 year old girl waiting for the schoolbus. That happened my Senior year of high school and made big news at the time. Another involves two brothers who killed about 20 years apart, and I have connections with both of those. The last is a biggie and completely took me by surprise. The serial killer in question definitely has name recognition. Maybe not in the top tier of a Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, or John Wayne Gacy, but definitely a heavy hitter for lack of better term.
