Departing Des Moines, we arrive at Farrar Schoolhouse right after a massive derecho devasted large portions of the area the previous day. This was not your average storm, this was a monster. We check in with Jim Oliver and he let us know that because of the storm that hit, there was not going to be any electricity in the place. That actually was not a big deal, because staying at locations like this we kind of expect that.
